Hi Reader,

The last few weeks have been quiet and restful over here. Oh, and joyful too!

Not only did our newly adopted pup (gently) help us accidentally find that litter of kittens, but she's also healing our hearts with lots of puppy wiggles, wagging tails, and SUPER sad hound eyes that are fucking gorgeous.

I'm sharing all about her in one of the recent posts below, but because I can't help myself, here's some pictures. 😍

We've always adopted our dogs from rescues, even my parents did when I was growing up, but this little girl needed an extra special home. Her anxiety & nerves were really HIGH the day we met her. (more on that in the post linked below!)

Since then I've read there's a common thread with adopted pets—they progress in 3s. It takes:

• 3 days to decompress and process the change,
• 3 weeks to learn household routines and build initial trust, and
• 3 months to feel fully secure and show their true personality

And I've been thinking about how much that could also apply to new clients that decide to work with us. 🤭

That anxious, watching-every-move energy Rowan had on day one could be basically every new client in the first steps of working with you. They don't know yet if you're going to flake on them, if you're going to understand their vision, or if this is going to be another disappointing hire. They're waiting to see what you're actually like to work with.

And you don't earn that trust by trying to wow them on day one. You earn it the same way we're earning Rowan's, by giving them something predictable to lean into. A clear process, consistent updates, and knowing where to find things so they don't have to guess. The trust builds because routine & structure is there, not because we try harder.

Rowan's on week three now, and she's already a completely different dog! Calmer, more playful, way less likely to side-run from passing cars while in our fenced backyard, and more verbally protective of her new space & family.

Our best clients follow similarly once we gave them something solid to settle into. 😃

• Turn that “becoming” into practical ways of working that make the behavior easier to follow through on —e.g. if visibility requires posting before something feels perfect, what needs to change about the way you currently create content?
• Use your Human Design energy type as an additional lens for understanding how you’re designed to use your energy, make decisions and approach the strategies you’re choosing.
