We STILL haven't found the kittens ๐

Hi Reader,
Cat Carrying GIF โ not the same cat from my story, lol
There's an uncatchable stray cat in our neighborhood (beautiful calico coloring) that apparently just had a litter of kittens, which has stirred up our little neighborhood. Several neighbors want to adopt one or two of the kittens, but the super-skittish mama cat keeps moving them around, so they're still on the loose for the moment.
Every time I go to our mail box, I catch myself listening for tiny meows, in the hope that we can rescue & find homes for any of them. ๐ฅน And any time I see mama-cat walking down the road, I STOP whatever I'm doing and rush outside to see if I can tell where she's going & alert that neighbor, or go walk down there & look myself.
She's smarter than all of us though, because it's been about a week now and no one has found them yet. ๐ซค
But that makes me wonder, does having more eyes actually help, or does it just add more chaos? ๐ฌ
Right now we've got half the street on proverbial kitten patrol, and a week in, we've got nothing to show for it. Everyone means well, of course. Nobody's assigned themselves lead detective, though, so we're all just freelancing off vibes: checking our own little patch of land, and comparing notes over the fence (or via text) after the fact.
Half of us have probably checked the same three bushes and rock walls twice. But none of us have checked the one that actually matters.
And even when someone does get close, mama cat just packs up the litter and relocates... again. So "the right spot" yesterday isn't the right spot today, and everyone's back to square one, coordinated or not.
Turns out more people looking doesn't automatically mean better odds. Sometimes it just means more chaos, spread across more directions, chasing a target that won't hold still. ๐ฅด ๐ซ
Anyway, we'll keep at it. And when someone does find them, they will get a real home + a vet trip. lol
This week's topic was inspired by a question I got in the Club: should we invite MULTIPLE clients to the same project in our portal, and if so... how??? I'll give ya the pros & the cons, let you decide which path will work best for you, then show you how to do it if you decide it's necessary for that project.
๐๏ธ Last call on the Square Design Summit's All-Access Pass
Right now the All-Access Pass is $197.
Tomorrow at 10 AM Eastern, two things happen: today's free session replays expire for anyone who doesn't have the pass, and the price jumps to $397.
Grab it before then and you get lifetime access, watch everything whenever you want, no expiration (plus get the Content Guide form template from The Ultimate Client Portal System, if you didn't already know that was tucked in there).
๐ Ultimate Client Portal System goes up $100 on Sept. 1
The course is $397 right now, but on September 1st it jumps to $497. If you've been circling this one like Shark Week in July, today's price is the best it's gonna get! Lock it in โโ
(Insider Club members, you've still got a standing 20% off code, so that still applies whenever you're ready. Grab the code here while logged in.)โ

Adopt A Pet
We're finally healing from our grief about Luna's passing, and ready to look for our next doghter to love & support. Because we really wanted to rescue or adopt (again), we used Adopt A Pet to start our search. Petfinder is helpful too, but their pet locations are harder to understand & we constantly get logged out.
Because I'm a nerd, I made a Notion database of all the cuties we have our eye on, and which ones we're interested enough to go meet &/or apply for. ๐ค๐ค
โSomeone shared this about my Summit session in the Club & it totally made my day! That's exactly why I was excited about speaking this year! ๐๐ผ

Katelyn, I just have to say... you CRUSHED it at the Square Design Summit. โ Your intro pulled me in immediately, your slides were fantastically on brand, and the energetic flow of the whole presentation was elevated. The content itself was educational, valuable, and entertaining. You helped us understand our options while making sure we understood WHY we needed a client-friendly system... then you took us for a spin inside the portal. โ Honestly, your video presentation gave me something to aspire to. I learned so much just watching you... your slides and transitions were next level. You always have incredible LTDT style, and it shows in everything you do. โ You were so personable and generous with what you shared.
That's a wrap for now!
Oh & if you watched any of the Summit sessions, hit reply & tell me your favorites! I'm binging them now. ๐ค๐คฉ
