Hi Reader,
When we decided to move out of the southeastern US, it was because we missed snow from our time in Wyoming attending college out there, and we wanted more than 1.5 seasons. That's why we love living in Vermont, because it actually has four real seasons.
It's that time of year where winter is finally winding down, the sun starts to come out more often, the days are getting longer again, and the air is warming up enough to start seeing a little green grass & buds on trees & bushes.
April's usually pretty rainy around here & sometimes that brings ice and slush (and mud shortly after), but starting in May things are green & colorful again. I'm feeling particularly excited about walking Luna outside again, hanging out with her in the backyard while I work from my laptop, โand finally expanding her fenced area in the yard to give her more space.
So I'm finding it a bit hard to focus on work stuff sometimes, because I'm ITCHING to get outside in the sunshine. ๐คญโ๏ธ

I've been having an interesting conversation lately with other business owner friends of mine, about needing to refocus after having a dumpster fire chaotic first quarter, this year. January, February, and March FLEW by in a blur of head-down, working hard, long hours, juggling all the things.
But now things have slowed down enough that I can lift my head up to look around, and I'm feeling a bit like, "โwait, where am I? What have I been doing?" ๐
So, I'm spending the rest of this month focusing on planning some stuff that's been on my to-do list for way too long, and prepping for some exciting new opportunities that quite literally fell into my inbox. Things like:
- Creating a small merch store, because I have lots of ideas (some I literally designed years ago) and couldn't we all use a Launch the Damn Thingยฎ shirt with a snarky phrase on it? ๐
- Finally adding my current website design templates to the Shop
- Something really exciting & kinda big that I can't tell you yet!
- Planning out my blog/YouTube content for the rest of the year
- Planning out more episodes for Squarely Speaking with Diane, and
- Re-organizing my business; life is messy & periodically things need a reset, so this is long overdue.
I've also agreed to help the owners of my hometown newspaper redesign the logo for their sister-publication, so that's on the docket for later this month but it shouldn't take long. I don't do stuff like this very often anymore, so it'll be an interesting change of pace!
I also have a rescheduled website project coming up that was originally scheduled last fall, so I'll be digging into that soon too. I'm excited about working with her and using my new Client Portal system again! ๐คฉ

๐๐ผ Our survey is CLOSING soon! ๐๐ผ
TBH, we've only reached just over a 10th of our original goal of 1,000 responses so far, so Diane & I would REALLY appreciate it if you would take 7-minutes of your day to fill it out & share it with whomever you can!
The more responses we get, the more insightful the report will be for everyone! We'll share the report early next month!
